About me
After successful completion of my degree in BSc Geography at the University of Liverpool, I am now studying towards a PhD in Data Analytics and Society at the Geographic Data Science Lab at the University of Liverpool in conjunction with the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT).
Education
- 2008-2013: Obtained 11 GCSEs at Pensby High School for Girls, Wirral (now Pensby High School)
- 2013-2015: Obtained 4 A-Levels and 1 AS-Level at West Kirby Grammar School for Girls
- 2015-2018: Studied BSc Geography at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a First class Honours degree
- 2018-Present: Currently studying an Integrated Masters and PhD in Data Analytics and Society at the University of Liverpool through the ESRC funded CDT. Funding also obtained by GEOLYTIX
Research Projects
Undergraduate Dissertation
In the final year of my Undergraduate Degree in BSc Geography, I undertook a dissertation project that aimed to investigate the controls on marine ice sheet instability in the Arctic. My dissertation involved the use of MATLAB and GIS software.
Postgraduate research
My PhD research project aims to bridge the gap between large scale Census data and smaller scale community and household data through new data fusion techniques. Throughout my research, I aim to:
- Learn programming languagues, including Python and R.
- Understanding survey data and how to analyse it.
- Developing new techniques for data fusion and synthetic estimation
